Hey Freedom, we are incredibly lucky to have each other for support. It would have been impossible if one of us elected not to do it. Stay focussed, it can only get easier for us.
Hey Freshair, it does seem to get easier although we too have a bit of agitation in the evenings. Hang in there, we are gonna conquer!!
It’s our 12th day and it is almost over, however, had a pretty stressful day today and could have easily lit up, but made it home and downed the red tabs, so peace almost restored.
    Night all

  • freshair

Doing well, very confident, just agitation in the evenings, but my skin is looking fresher and my eyes shining! Sandi Im past a full week, like you, and it does seem to get easier, does’nt it? This weekend Im going to wash the curtains in my bedroom, they are a bit stinky now I can smell properly! Laura and Jess, my work friends, hope by Monday you have joined me as a smoke free body.

Hi Guys! sounds like you’re all giving it your best shot and wow Sandi what a gift that you and you’re doing this together. It’s an incredible life line to have support. you’re already well on your way. you’ve passed the most crucial physiological addiction, now it’s just the habits & triggers… Stay strong both of you and best of luck!

Yay, we are 7 days and counting. My husband and I are in our early fifties and have been smoking for about 30 years and were on at least 40 a day each, so 7 days without any, wow!! Hasn’t been a complete bed of roses though but we are hanging in there and the red tabs are helping. Having to find so much more to do to keep focussed but the house needs spring cleaning anyway! Sending out huge positive vibes to all our fellow ‘Beyond nicotiner’s’…

  • freshair

Thanks Freedom, will be 1 week tomorrow. Very proud of myself, and I have a number of people at work who have now bought kits and will start soon. Cant say it very easy, but also cant say its terribly hard.

  • freedom

Hi Freshair, Seems you’re doing just fine with the clear resolve you have an great to hear that you are already starting to feel better!!!! this really eggs one on for the next leg…

  • freshair

Starting to feel good! I slept so well last night, and the cravings are manageable, the red pills really do work. Maybe not about to run a marathon physically, really, but very proud of myself and determined to do this. Gran, we need to chat, you are next on the list. Thanks Beyond Nicotene, together we will win.

Bit of a wobbly this morning, my lift club driver offered me a cigarette, and I automatically took it, but as I put it in my mouth I remembered. And realised how smelly her little Corsa is, like an ashtray. Pooo. Well into second day, not too bad, if it does not get any worse Ill be ok, actually I will in any case be ok because Ive really made up my mind. Slept really well last night, maybe just a fluke? Maybe not. Parents staying over this weekend, but I can count on their support.
Gran thanks for the support, I heard you hacking on the phone, and this inspires me no end.

  • freshair

From 6 yesterday till now almost a full day, and not too bad, but do have to catch myself every so often when office girls get up for a puff. But then I remember my resolve, and just say “NO”. This eve will probably be the hardest so far. The lip ice seems to work well, the cravings come and go really.

  • freshair

OK, here I go, was a jibbering wreck all yesterday, and following the course guidelines I crunched up my cigarette packet at 6 last night, took the red and the green tablets, and now its been 14 hours, not toooooo bad so far. Martin, my partner very supportive, feel a bit shaky, but I know its got to be done. Family, support please, and gran if I do this youre next, ok?

  • freshair

Hello, some friends gave up using this product and Ive bought it and am working through the booklet and listening to the cd. My aim is to throw away the smokes after a scheduled family lunch on the holiday tomorrow, and start Thursday as an ex smoker. Ive never been so scared in my life, but my boyfriend has had a health scare and has been off tobacco for a month and my smoking makes it very hard for him. So, Im going to try my best. Help!

  • hangingin

Ive been following the stresses of your campaign to slay the dragon Janine, because Im 10 days today, and for the first time I really believe its possible. Im feeling really, really good, coughing a bit but this seems to be a better, cleansing cough, not a painful, hacking one. But good in health, and good about myself, when the cravings and urges come now I can almost laugh at them. They are imposters! And as a 60 a day guy, I calculate Ive saves 10x R62, R620 in credit. To the makers of this fantastic programme, you guys rock! Ive tried them all, Im an expert.

  • freedom

Hey Tumo, so GREAT to hear from you – your comments were always so positive & an inspiration…and look at this milestone – a year! respect bro! well done and about the weight loss… wow that’s impressive! what really touches me is how this programme changes something fundamental – doesn’t just get you to stop smoking, it changes your mind set and empowers you to make changes in other areas of your life…you’re a wonderful example. thanks for staying in touch & inspiring & giving hope to others.

  • Tumo

2 days left and it will be one year since I had a smoke. I started exercising a month or 2 after I quit and have also lost 30kg. I feel healthy, I have energy, I can keep up with my son and am more outgoing than I ever was when I was smoking. To all of you who are still in the early stages of quitting, just keep at it. I still think about a cigarette some days, but it is an urge that is very easy to resist now. Hang in there Janine, all you need is to really want it! And thank you Freedom, you have helped a lot of people to deal with their addiction.

  • freedom

fantastic news!! so good that you have stayed in touch as it is great to know you’re still strong in your resolve. as they say – now is the perfect time – so now you have a whole canvass of possibilities open for things you can do the the extra time & the extra money you have ! enjoy every moment and Rand & know that you are an example to others. I feel so grateful for my journey with quitting and I cannot help but want others to feel the same sense of freedom! So here’s to yours!

Hi Janine, amazing how well you did at a function…it could have been a big trigger and yet it’s a good indication that you have turned the corner. there are top up kits available online with just the capsules & the lip ice….so you need never be without – but you’ll see now that you’ve made the break & your mind is strong, I’m certain that you’ll not be needing the anti-crave capsules

  • janine

hello – its now 2 weeks (14 days exactly) i am nearly there – again though i am a bit anxious that when i dont have the anti-crave pill that this may cause a problem – can we buy this separately if needs be?
i must say i went to my function since i stopped smoking and everyone around me was smoking – the craziest thing was that i nearly got sick just from the smell – i couldnt take it – well i couldnt believe it – so this is working – i am really glad i started this but can i maintain after the 15 days – any advise will be grateful – thanks

  • janine

    hello Freedom

  • freedom

Of course it will get easier – you are busy exploring a new territory – a life of freedom. Hey I forgot about the lip balm – it’s a great distraction (not only because the aromatherapeutic ingredients are soothing, but also cause it gives you something to do!

  • janine

    Hello again Freedom
You are a star – yeah was thinking the same – i am most grateful for your support and encouragement. i am doing the breathing thing but i have to have self control now over the snacking part – you really are a help – today is day 7 as a non-smoker – goodness – pls tell me now its going to get easier, cos at times it doesnt feel like it. Self discipline and self control – YEAH? i can do this; we all can do this….
By The Grace Of God, i know i can succeed…

  • freedom

..know how Sunday evenings can get! This may sound really arb, but try the breathing – it is really really powerful. If you just substitute food for a fag, you’re no better off…so the idea is to distract yourself from the habit of just filling the inner hollow. When those moments come, where you’re thinking “what should I do now, I really feel like something, a ciggie or a nibble”. You have to be vigilant and gently steer yourself towards another activity – do something that you love, it may be walking in the garden, playing with your dog, having a bath, paging through a magazine, and if that feels like it’s not enough, consciously say to yourself “This is good enough, this fills me enough and I don’t need anything outside of myself to make this better”. And breathe at least 5 breaths – slowly, deeply, right down into your belly. You’ll see, after a few conscious breaths,it’s as if the wind has blown the clouds away . I hope this helps…

  • janine

    hello all
its sunday night – and craving a cig like anything – also i trying to eat healthily but am snacking too much – i really dont want to put on weight as i really can’t afford to – any suggestions from anyone – i am replacing snacking with a cig – mmmmmmmmm – not too good – tomorrow, i will have to try a new tactic – but suggestions welcome…
By the way, tomorrow is 7 days as a NON-SMOKER….yeah but damn difficult

  • freedom

Hey Guys, It’s weekend! let’s do something uplifting that celebrates the wonder that we are!

  • janine

    Hi Freedom
You are an absolute life-saver – thank you; thank you; thank you!!!
i am so grateful and appreciative for your support…
feeling a bit better this morning – this is actualoy day 5, i made a mistake – started on monday, my last cig being at 7h45 – oh well I CAN DO THIS!!!! I WILL DO THIS!!!!
    Again thanks Freedom

  • freedom

Hey Janine, Hang in – you do not need nicotine – you need to look in the mirror and see that you love & respect yourself more than being at the mercy of something that takes away from you. Look at yourself, value yourself and love yourself for your courage, your dignity & for being able to be so honest about how hard it is. Just think you’ve already gotten past the most difficult days – but you are really already through the absolute worst – your body is starting to run a whole new programme of health & wellbeing….just stay focused & know that you are worth it!

  • janine

thanks Saddell – today is day 5 but seems to be a bad day
    H2O how ya doing
eish – i am really needing that nicotine right now – but no way is this going to get the better of me
so will continue to hang in there
    again Thanks Saddell
    chat soon – lata

  • SADDELL

Janine…just hang in there. The first few days are absolute HELL but from my experience, you must be close to turning the corner. After that its an easy downhill run to being a non-smoker and able to smell the South African AIR instead of nicotene!!!!!

  • janine

    congrats Saddell
i cant wait for that – only day 4 and i am climbing the walls – especially at night – spoke to Freedom – love him/her for the support offered – i am note sure who is male or female
anyways – i just have to keep telling myself i CAN do this – Saddell, now that i see you were smoking for 50 years – i am really inspired – huge congrats
H2O – check out Saddell – after 50 years – thats totally inspiring
Freedom – thanks again for your support – love it…
H2O – hang in there – i am from South Africa – where are you all from?
WE CAN DO IT – WE ALL CAN KICK THIS ADDICTIVE HABIT – GOOD LUCK FELLOW QUITTERS – in a few months time, we may look back and actually laugh at the crazy things we went thro to quit – but thats life – HANG IN THERE EVERYONE WHO HAS JUST STARTED, its not easy but WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!

  • freedom

Saddell – wow well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sure you must be saving a fortune! & enjoying the good smells around!

  • SADDELL

Today is No 200 since “Beyond Nicotene” enabled me to quit smoking after 50 years on the job. Right now it bothers me not if somebody stands next to me blowing smoke in my direction, except it smells foul!
My heartfelt thanks to the programme….where were you 49 years ago?

  • h20

    Hi Janine

You are so inspriring , really you are – and you sound like such a positive person , I like that … I will definitley keep in touch and let you know how I am doing.
Thank you for all that you have taken the time to write to me , it is much appreciated … good luck to you too I know you can do it !!
This stupid addiction will soon be a thing of the past !
Cheers to a healthy and happy future !

  • janine

    hello h2O
i really recommend that you listen to the cd with the breathing and hypno sessions – that’s such a help – but at the end of the day, its the will power to overcome the nicotine – day 4 and me and i am still craving like mad – but the lip-ice does definitely help – i wanted a cig just now when i bumped into someone who was smoking – OMG = then i started telling him about beyond nicotine – he listened with one ear but i think heard some of it – oh well – pls Lord i can stick with this cos its NOT as easy as it seems – but i know i can do it – i have to do it.
Hang in there once you start the programme – let me know how you doing and if i can offer support any way – believe me, i understand, at times i feel i could just about kill for a cig – but i know now that i am in day 4, i cannot let the nicotine get the better of me, Freedom advises that the 1st 4 days are the hardest so i am nearly there – hope to chat soon – take care… janine

  • h20

Thank you Freedom and Janine – maybe next time I should read all instructions !! I thought by taking the pills they would decrease your cravings and then eventually MAKE you stop !!! I’m such an idtiot !! :) Ok so I know what I need to do now … Thanks guys !!

  • janine

opps – sorry – thanks Freedom – you are a Gem

  • janine

    hi h2o
oh goodness – i am not sure you are supposed to be smoking taking the pills
also i think Freedom can explain this much better as i am just a beginner,
this is my 3rd day and oh boy am i craving like a mad woman – but i know i can do this and so can you – just hang in there – i know you can do it – you will succeed – this is by far the hardest thing i have ever done in my life after 26 years of smoking but i am determined to do this – we all need to help/assist each other and i think Freedom is such a class act when supporting – Freedom pls assist h2O – about the smoking thing whilst taking the pills – XOX
H2O – YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! – dont let the nicotine take your power – yo u have the power to beat this game LOL
